Description

In this lesson.Students will practice they're speaking through using a new functional language which is how to state another point of view. we will start the lesson with warmer about two statements and have to discuss about After that they will have a lead in with four pictures of different advertisements and they have to think what they are about and then they will have to lesson to a conversation between two girl talking about advertisement and the last part of the lesson students have to practice their speaking abilities through a discussion of one topic they will choose from list

Abc Recorded conversation
Abc Handout 1 for two statement.the first statment said by (H G Wells) . The secand one (Anton Chekhov)
Abc Gap - fill handout for three sentences students have to complete
Abc list of topics handout
Abc Four pictures of different advertisements

Main Aims

  • By the end of the lesson students will have the chance to practice (oral fluency)by using phrases of stating another point of view in a context of discussion about one topic they will shoes from a list of topics for example computer games

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide specific information listening practice using a text about phrases of stating another point of view in context of conversation about advertisement

Procedure

Warmmer (5-7 minutes) • introduce the topic and have speaking practice

In this stage. students have to read two statements about advertisements and students will have a discussion about what the writers are trying to say and if they agree with it.

lead in (6-8 minutes) • To prepare students for the next stage which is listening

students will look at four pictures which are of advertisements and they have to think what they are about. in this stage students will work in groups of six and each group have to write what they think each one is about and the have to tell each other

While-Listening (4-5 minutes) • to present the target language which is functional language in a cotext of a converstion

in this stage students will listen to a conversation between two girls having a discussion about an advertisement and through the conversation student will present with the new phrases to stating another point of view

Language focus (7-8 minutes) • to get students attention to the items of functional language which have to use in the next stage

students will listen again to the conversation and fill in the gap with one of the phrases in the box

speaking practice (11-17 minutes) • To give students space to practice their fluency

In the first part of this stage, students will work in pairs students will choose one topic from a list of different topics.In this stage.After that, they will have the brainstorm a list for and against the topic and they have say why they are against or for the topic. Then the whole class will stand in two lines in front of each other and tell each other their point of view
