Procedure (26-34 minutes)
Word chain activity: I will tell them that I will say a word and the person after me should say a word starts with the same letter the my word ends with it, for example, I will say clock and the person after must say a word starts with "K" like kitchen. Then I will start the game.
I will give them a worksheet to each one that includes new words and the definitions to match them, and they will be instructed to do it in pairs. Then give them the starting signal. After the time ends, and start to check with them their work asking about their answers and reveal the correct ones.
I will give them the handouts of the the reading text and instruct them to read individually, and I will tell them they have 5 minutes to read then give them the starting signal.
I will ask them some questions based on the text: What is the passage main idea? Should include the person mentioned What is the point that made the difference in his life? What he had done that made him succeed?
I will tell them they are going to read out loud one by one and I will correct for them their pronunciation.
Task1: I will tell them to write the new vocabs provided in the sheet in sentences. Each word in 5 sentences, and to submit it tomorrow before the lecture. Task2: I will tell them to memorize the text, and they will present it within enough time.
