Description

In this lesson, students learn about how they can introduce their favorite things to do and how they can say that are in the same way with others or not. We have controlled practice, semi controlled practice and also free practice.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

At first, teacher and students interact with each other to warp up, it's a important cause of getting active, even passive students take the point gradually.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

First, students reveal some thing they know and teacher lead them to other parts of lesson, so they can contact it. It have to be gradual and without hurry.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I try to make students pay attention to every part of lesson and want them to practice, both in group work and individually.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

In this stage, teacher makes parts of lesson more clear and set those in order to be better and more clear for students.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

As this level, we have to have controlled practice, because students should be better in exercises, so it's getting real. In this stage, teacher has to check the answers totally.

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

As this level, we have semi controlled practice, it means that students check the answers together and teacher has a balanced control.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

As this level, we give students free speaking to practice more and freer. Students get better in being independent for resolving problems.
