Procedure (38-50 minutes)
In this stage I will predict and tell about something that I wanted to do but because of the weather I can't. using both negative and positive form of the structure.
In this stage I will ask my students to do peer works and tell each other about the things that they wanted to do but because of the weather they can't or maybe they can. I will ask them to use both negative and positive sentences.
I will write some of mine and their sentences on WB to draw their attention to the TL.
I will clarify the meaning by drawing a timeline on the board and asking some CCQs: (When do we use this structure? planned actions or predictions based on present evidence/ What is the structure of to be going to? Sub+ am/is/are +going to +base form of verb / Can we use ''Tomorrow" in our sentences? Yes) After that i will elicit the structure from the students to clarify how to form the sentences. Also I will work on the sentence stress [ WHAT are you GOING to do TONIGHT?] and its pronunciation in fast speaking too.[''Gonna'' instead of ''going to'']
the students are going to do the exercise A on page 131 in the grammar bank in 4 minutes. they will have 2 minutes to check their answers in pairs and then we will check the answers with the whole class.
I will ask them to tell me about where are they going to be for their next trip and how the weather of that location would be like? they should use the structure" to be going to " in their plan and in their predictions.
