Procedure (36-47 minutes)
T puts several pictures on the board. Sts read the sentences from their handout and match them.
T writes example sentences on the board and elicit the difference between two sentences. Sts put the words in order to make affirmative, negative and interrogative sentences.(Present Perfect) Sts put the time expressions under correct headings in pairs. T check answers with the whole cass.
Sts decide in pairs whether the expressions in the box are 'finished time' or 'time up to now'. T checks the answers by writing these headings on the board and encouraging individual sts to come up and write the time expressions under correct headings.
Sts put the verbs in brackets into correct tense to make true sentences about themselves. (Present perfect or Simple Past) In pairs sts check their answers.
Sts choose 5 questions from handout and mill around. They ask the question. If the answer is 'yes' they ask more questions to get the details. Sts report back to class what they get from their friends.
