Description

In this lesson students are going to learn how to start and end conversations based on listening context about small talk. The lesson starts with discussion question about parties and its followed by a group work activity. At the end of the lesson students will answer questions related to the conversation

Main Aims

  • My main is to teach the learners how to start and end conversation in a small talk and make them good in their listening, speaking to improve their language.

Subsidiary Aims

  • By the end of the lesson students will develop their ability by creating a conversation

Procedure

Warmar (3 minutes) • Make the students to think what the lesson is going to be about

Students are going to work in pairs and then discuss the question who likes to go to parties. why.what do the do their?

Pre- teaching (5 minutes) • Cheek students understanding of shake hands, bow

Students are going to work in pairs and think how do they greet people

Pre- listening (5 minutes) • Students look at the picture and arouse the interest of the students through pictures

Teacher gives students pictures and students work in pairs to discuss what can they see from the three pictures

listening (10 minutes) • To practice listening skills and listening for specific information

After listening students are going to read the names and the reasons to match them together and see how do these people know David and Jane

Controlled activity (5 minutes) • To practice students how to end a conversation

Teacher is going to ask students to fill gaps with a correct word of an ending conversation ,using the words in the box and cheeking their answers in pairs.

Free activity (10 minutes) • To encourage students in their speaking

Students are going to work in groups, they imagine their in party and going to meet new people and have a conversation

Controlled activity (7 minutes) • cheek students understanding and reinforce what was tought

Students are going to work individually and answer two questions after listening the first conversation between Celia and Sami
