Main Aims

Students will learn and practice the number 4.

Students will review the previously learned vocabulary related to animals (fish, bird, cat, kitten, dog, puppy, and rabbit).

Students will also review numbers 1, 2, and 3 to refresh their memory.

Students will learn and practice the concepts of "big" and "small."

Speaking skills: Help students talk using the new and reviewed words.

Listening skills: Help students understand the new and reviewed words when they hear them.
Procedure (46-62 minutes)
1- Greeting the students with " hello, How are you? " Then, play a hello song. 2- Assign a student as the teacher helper. 3- Roll call, taking attendance using a roll call song. 4- Checking students workbooks. 5- play the lesson song: listen and sing with me. 6- Review animals and numbers vocabulary: Display pictures of different groups of animals (two cats, one birds , etc ). Ask "How many cats do you see?" Encourage students to respond using complete sentences "I see two cats."
1_ Introduce the concept of "big" and "small" using objects of different sizes (big ball and small ball).
1_Teach "big" and "small" by showing two objects of different sizes (a big ball and a small ball). Demonstrate using sentences: "It is a big ball. It is a small ball. "Show flashcards of animals and ask students to describe them using "big" and "small" (big dog, small puppy).
Direct students to the activity of big and small in their book.
Set animal flashcards on the ground. Each student picks an animal card. Students jump next to their chosen animal card and say whether it is big or small.
Draw and tell: Students draw an animal and describe its size.
