Procedure (41-55 minutes)
In this stage I will talk about my sister and I belongings. I will use some possessive pronouns and possessive adjectives to make my ss understand the relation between these two.
In this stage I ask my students to answer this question: Did you share anything with a friend or family member when you were a child?
In this stage I will write some of the sentences that my students have made in the correct form on the board to draw their attention to the TL.
I will clarify the meaning by defining the word "possessive". I ask some CCQs: If I say "my car', what is the possessive word? my. Is car adj or noun? noun. I write one more example with possessive adj. After that I talk about possessive pronouns and remind them of "pronouns". I teach ss how to ask about possession by writing two examples. Finally, I divide the board in two parts and clarify the difference between possessive adj and possessive pronouns. I remind them how to pronounce their correctly.
The students are going to do exercise A on page 141 in the grammar bank in 1 minutes. They will have 1 minutes to check their answers in pairs and then we will check the answers with the whole class.
I will ask my students to talk about their own and their family belongings in groups of four.
