Give Ss copies of the text 'Readers' Response - CCTV is Watching You'. Let the Ss read the text, then ask their ideas about the letters. Ask such questions 'Are all writers happy about CCTV? Why not?' Then, let Ss do Ex1. Give the correct answer after hearing them.
Let the students read the text again individually and do Ex2 in pairs. Check the answers with Ss.
Write 'place' on WB. Ask students to read the text again and underline the phrases with 'place'. Then, let them guess the meaning of the phrases they have found. Give Ss the matching exercise and let them check their answers with in pairs. At the end of the class if T has extra time, T can ask Ss to write their own sentences using phrases with place.
Write the title on WB and an example sentence from the text. Introduce present continuous tense. Ask students discovery questions about present continuous tense. Help them write the form of the tense using the example sentence ( S+ to be +v-ing+object). Give the students the grammar sheet and let them talk about present continuous tense and why we do not use some verbs with present continuous tense. Write more stative verbs on WB. Let the students do the exercises in pairs and check answers together.
