Procedure (27-42 minutes)
. Put some pictures of different places to go for a relaxing day out. . elicit the place names and also elicit the words; relaxing, a day out, interesting, exciting. . Sts work in pairs and discuss the question: where people can go for; an exciting, an interesting, a relaxing day out. . They will also ask each other their preferences for places to go. . At the end get WC FB
. Give sts HO1 (ex. 2a) They read the questions/ . Give them the texts. They read the articles and answers the questions individually . Get FB from sts.
. Write the words from ex.3a on some colorfull papers. . Put them on WB. . Tell them to work in pairs, listen to the tape and put the places thay talk about in order. . Get WC FB
. Give sts true,false statements papers. . they listen to the tape again and decide if te sentences are true or false in pairs. . get WC FB
. write these sentences on WB: . what do you want to do tomorrow? . I'd like to go to the beach. . Elicit the maningsfrom sts. . Show them the structure . Ask this question to some of the students
. divide class into two groups. . Tell them to choose Regent's Park or Chessington for a day out, read the article about this place again and find three reasons why they want to go there . Again in two groups, sts plan a day out to Regent's Park or Chessington. They should decide on these things: which place when to go how to get there where\when to meet things to do there . Then the groups will speak about the place they chose
