Description

In this lesson students will learn passives, and the learns are going to learn it through guided discovery the context is about reality TV .The lesson starts with a discussion about TV programs this was followed by group work activity.Finally there is some controlled activity.

Main Aims

  • My main is to make the student to be aware of using passives and understanding vocabulary of TV program

Subsidiary Aims

  • By the end of the lesson students will achieve using the passive form and they will learn more vocabulary related to TV program

Procedure

Warmar (5 minutes) • To get student talking and encourage them

Ask students what are their favorite programs on TV and why

Led-in (10 minutes) • To get students to be aware of knowing the meaning of each vocabulary

Ask students to read the vocabulary and match the types of TV program in the box to a program discription

Controlled activity (10 minutes) • Get the students to know the specific information about the article

Students read the article and answer the true or false questions below

Controlled activity (10 minutes) • To introduce the topic how to use the passive in the correct form

Giving sentence and explaining the rule Ask the students to find three example of the passive form in paragraph three of the artical

Controlled activity (5 minutes) • Get students to know how to write sentence in a passive form

Rewrite the sentences. instead of using somebody/ they/people write a passive sentence

Speaking (Free activity) (5 minutes) • Get students to be more confident working in groups and encourage students in their talking

Ask students to plan their own reality TV
