Procedure (40-63 minutes)
-T greets the ss and asks them about their week. -T shows ss a handout that has many pictures inside it. -T chests the handout out and tells them to write what they can see on the pictures alone and they have 1 minute. -T monitors. -T checks with the ss and provides some new words that will help them in the lesson. -T gives the ss some questions: 1. What were your hobbies when you were a child? 2. How much time did you spend on these hobbies? Did you do it alone or with someone? Who? 3. From where did you know or learn these hobbies? -T tells the ss to ask each other these questions in pairs and they have 3 minutes. ICQS: - will you answer only one question or all of them? -How many minutes do you have? -T monitors. -T conducts content feedback from ss and interacts with them. -T asks the ss: What do you think is our topic for today? Hobbies
- T says : Now we are going to listen to Hannah and Charile they will speak about their hobbies. -T asks : Do you think they will speak bout their hobbies now or in their childhood? -T simplify the word "childhood" by saying when they were children. -T hears their answers and then says: They will speak about their childhood hobbies -T asks: what do you think are their hobbies as children? -T hears from the ss.
-T tells ss to listen and tell me "What are their childhood hobbies?" -T moniters. -T tells ss to check within pairs. -T monitors. -T hear the answers from them and correct if they didn't get it right.
-T tells the ss to listen again but this time try to complete the table. -T chests the handout where they will do it. -T asks ss ICQ: Will you complete only Hannah's part or Hannah and Charlie? -T do the first one with them. -T tells the ss to don't worry if they didn't get everything and they will listen to it again if they want. -T gives the ss 30 seconds to look at the table. -T plays the audio and monitor. -T asks the ss if they need to listen again. -T asks ss to check in pairs. -T listens to their answers and tries to ask one or two personalized questions if he/she agrees for example that this is a problem like the parents' problem.
-T shows ss some questions and tells them to ask each other these questions. -T tells the ss to try to ask follow-up questions and demonstrate how with them. -T sets the time 8 minutes. -T asks ss to try to remember if he/she has the same answer as his/her friend. -T asks ICQS: So you will speak in groups, right? No pairs How many minutes do you have? 8 will you try to see if you have a similar opinion or different opinion with your friend? Similar -T monitors and provides help when needed. -T listen to them carefully to know what to discuss in the language feedback part. -T tells ss to switch their partner. T monitors.
-T conducts content feedback from the students and shows real interest in them. -T give students language feedback starting with good points they did then discuss with them the grammatical or structural mistakes.
