To provide clarification and practice of the present simple in the context of Wh- and Yes/No questions and using an interview text.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide accuracy and fluency speaking practice in asking questions using the present simple.Also reading for detail in the context of an interview text.
Procedure (41-51 minutes)
Ss split into 2 groups and play a game of charades. 1 member from each group will act out a present simple sentence learnt from the previous lesson. The team with the most points wins.
Elicit from Ss the Wh-? questions. Give an example: Where do you live? Drill the Ss on the question, ask them individually. Ex:4a Open table on w/b with projector. At top of table write form . Give Ss w/s. Ss work in pairs Monitor . Take FB - Ss write answers on w/b. Drill the questions chorally. Ss ask and answer the questions with their partners.
Use projector for table in ex4c Highlight form on w/b. Ss do ex4c individually and check with partners. FB. Drill chorally and individually. Ss write down 3 yes/no questions. Ss ask questions to other Ss. Monitor and take fb.
ex5 p33 Show Ss the gap fill on the w/b with projector. Give Ss w/s Ss work in small groups. Monitor. Ss peer check. Ss write answers on w/b. Take fb.
Ss look at the interview text from the previous lesson (by Sinem). They ask each other the Qs from ex 5a and answer them with information from text. Ss work in pairs. Monitor. Take FB. Ss take it in turns to answer. Drill them.
