Procedure (39-53 minutes)
At this stage as I am using body language, I tell them about what I did yesterday using regular simple past verbs and as I am modelling the sentences, I emphasize on -ed at the end of the verbs.
students start reading the text quickly according to get the gist. Then they should answer the asked questions and share their ideas. It is time to underline the irregular verbs and use the verbs in a sentence.
This lesson has two parts which students should put the sentences in the correct order to complete the story. Students should do this part as a group work and at last each group can start talking about the story and continue it.
The students are provided with a teacher made practice based on the simple past grammar. students should choose and circle the correct form the verbs.
In this teacher made practice some verbs are given to the students that they already familiar with them. They should fill the gaps using the correct form of the verbs.
After listening to part f, in each group or pair students should take notes about the asked question and share it with others while I am monitoring their speaking skills and noticing their errors.
