T elicits the answers from the whole class and writes them on the w/b. -Ss work in pairs to do the exercise 4, which focuses on past simple question forms and giving short answers. -T elicits answers from the Ss and projects the correct answers on the board. She highlights the parts on the board, where they had common mistakes.

Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

-T models the question and answer in Grammar Exercise 2( Ss Book), then lets the Ss do the activity in pairs. T monitors them and gets feedback from the volunteers. S/he gives feedback on the w/b if necessay. -T tells Ss they are going to talk about last night. S/he elicits, models and drills a couple of questions. Ss then stand up and ask their questions to several different people and make notes of their answers.
