In this lesson, students are going to listen to a track about tiny , easy tips on cleaning a house.

Main Aims

  • To provide detailed listening practice using a picture about cleaning a house in the context of Is your room always clean?

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency practice in a conversation in the context of Do you have any easy tips to clean ?

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will start the class talking about my room and how I try to keep my room tidy.Then, I will ask them if they have ever experienced cleaning their room or their house in a short while because the guests or their friends were coming around ?

Pre-Reading/Listening (6-8 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

The students will be informed about the meaning of the following vocabularies used in the listening track by trying to do a matching practice. They will check the answers in pairs and then with the whole class. Housework_sqeeze_tools_vaccume cleaner.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (6-10 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The students will listen to track and try to answer the following questions: 1.How does he recommended cleaning the microwave? 2.why does he mention flip-flops and tools? The answers will be checked with the whole class . Students will need to support their ideas if they come up with different answers.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

The students will be asked to read the questions on page 31 part b and then listen to the track and answer the questions . they have 3 minutes to answer the questions .first , the answers will be checked in pairs and then with whole class.

Post-Reading/Listening (13-16 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

the students will be asked to talk with each other in a group of 2-3 about tiny tips to have your room/house cleaned.
