To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of imagination being rich person
Procedure (41-60 minutes)
In this stage I will talk about my friend who can not focus in class and I say what I would do if I were my friend.
In this stage I will ask my students to tell the class what they would do if they were my friend.
In this stage I will write some of the sentences that my students have made in the correct form on the board to draw their attention to the TL
I will clarify the meaning by example situation and ask students to imagine this situation and asking some CCQs; (Are the sentences about the past, present, or future? present and future - Do we expect them to happen? No. Can I use present tense in these sentences? NO. After that I will elicit the structure from the students to clarify how to form the sentences. I mention we do not normally use would in the if clause and we use would or wouldn't in the main clause. I mention that could and might are also possible. Intonation and stresswords will be drilled in this class.
The students are going to do exercise 9A on page 132 in the grammar bank in 4 minutes. They will have 2 minutes to check their answers in pairs and then we will check the answers with the whole class.
I will ask my students to talk about imaginary situation that they were rich in groups of two and then tell the class about who they think has had the best answer.
