Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-7 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

- Welcome students - Review objectives: - Learn key travel phrases - Introduce packing list vocabulary

Exposure (10-20 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

- Present key travel phrases and their meanings - Display packing list vocabulary, each student is to find/describe 4 items on the list - Discuss usage and context for each phrase and item

Activity 1: Kahoot (5-6 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

- Play audio - Conduct Kahoot quiz on key phrases and vocabulary - Use quiz to reinforce learning and engage students

Semi-Controlled Practice (2-4 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Clarify: what is the correct word and why? 1. I wish I could escape (leave / escape) the crowds and go off the beaten track for my holidays. 2. Are you stopping (on / off) somewhere on the way? 3. - Students practice role plays using key phrases and vocabulary - Circulate to provide support and feedback

Wrap-up and Discussions (2-4 minutes) • Summarize key learning points
