Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Students are going to know the names of some animals and understand spelling the words and make sentences with them, as well.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I'm going to Tell them a short and clear story so to get them to be more engaged, I ask them to complete part of my story or one of my sentences.

Controlled Practice (8-12 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Now time for CCQ, I ask them some questions to figure out what they learned and then give them some practices in pairs. Check together at the end of the class.

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

To work hard and better, I give them some exercises again and it will be controlled too but less than previous ones.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

At this stage, students are provided with a HO designed by the teacher. The exercises include some questions like: the ... is the king of the jungle. And finally, in mingling activity they get information from other animals.
