Main Aims

To practice reading for skimming and specific detail in the context of shopping, colours and sizes
Subsidiary Aims

To practice speaking for fluency to talk about shopping, colours and sizes
Procedure (28-37 minutes)
-I will show show a picture of a circle that has many sectors, each sector has a certain colour. Ss have to work alone first to identify the colours. Then they check with their partner. After that, I will elicit the colours from Ss, and drill them chorally and individually, writing them on the board. Then I will show two pictures of colored T-shirts and balloons and ask Ss to work with their partners to identify the colours. After that, I will ask Ss about thier favorite colours and the color of things in the classroom.
-First, I will present the new lexis ( large and medium) by showing a picture of different sizes of bags, trying to elicit them from Ss -I will show HO to students and give them instructions to match between the questions and the answers - I will monitor the Ss while being engaged doing the activity - Ss then will listen to the CD to check their answers first, then to drill the questions and answers - I will ask Ss to work with a partner to practice these questions and answers
- I will show tow pictures of internet shopping websites, then ask Ss to work in groups to tell me what they can see in the pictures - I will elicit answers from Ss and then introduce the word "wallet" - I will ask Ss to predict what thy will read about
- I will give Ss clear instructions to read the information on the websites to tell which picture each one describes. I will encourage students to read quickly and not to focus on every single word - Ss will work alone first then they check with a partner -FB from WC
- I will use pictures to elicit the vocabulary wool and homemade - I will ask show the HO and ask students to read the shopping sites quickly to answer the questions -I will move around to check the progress of work -Then, I will ask Ss to check with their partner -After that, I will stick the answer key on the white board to allow Ss check their answers
- I will ask Ss to scan the text again to choose the best answer for the questions of the activity -Ss will work alone first then check with a partner -I will stick the key answers on the walls and Ss move to check
-I will show the Ho TO Ss asking them to choose a gift for each person in the list -Ss have to choose a gift with its size and colour -Then Ss practice speaking about the gift the've chosen, using a model sentence -After that, I will ask some Ss about the size and the colour of the gifts they've chosen -Then asking Ss to work in groups to do the same
