To provide accuracy speaking practice in a discussion in the context of past actions.
Procedure (34-46 minutes)
I will ask students in a group of 5 or 6 tell your friends "what did you do at the weekend?"
I will draw a picture on WB and ask them to make a sentence for each picture in order to introduce grammar by funny pictures.
I will write the sentences of pictures on WB and will clarify the meaning by time line and some CCQs, then I will write the form on WB and will drill the sentences. I will show the intonation by gesture and ask learners to show intonation with their hands. At the end I will give them HO to underline correct words in rules In pairs.
I will give students HO will ask students to underline the correct verbs form(individually)I will monitor and help them. FB: I will give them answer key
I will ask ss to read the text then underline and highlight the past simple and continuous individually. ICQ: Are you going to answer in pairs? FB: check in pairs I will give HO and ask ss to speak about pictures and make a sentence for each picture in a group. FB: I will give them answer key
I will give them HO, in a group of 3 or 4, so they will choose on topic and discuss in a group.
