Description

This lesson we will focus on present simple on elementary level . By the end of the class students will be able to use present simple and discuss about their daily life activities or jobs amd use simple present in the better way to talk about others action.

Materials

Abc Our daily life or jobs

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification and practice of Present simple in the context of Daily life and jobs

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a Simple and basic conversation in the context of Daily life and jobs

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (1-2 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will start by telling an imaginary story about someones daily life activities Exp: She cleans her room She walks to her workplace

Exposure (2-5 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I will talk about my own daily activities and jobs with writing and highlighting Exp: I GO to gym I DO NOT watch the news

Highlighting (5-6 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I ask students to speak to each other about their daily activities using similar sentences like i used before and make them use at least 1 negative sentence and i will observe then write some of them on the bord I will make sure they know present simple is used for facts permanent situations and routines by pointing out the ones they used themselves (if they didn't i make one or 2)

Clarification (9-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

By now the Ss must have an idea of what present simple is so after making sure they got it i will introduce the question form and the adverbs of frequency by showing exp and how to use them.

Controlled Practice (5-9 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Before practice i will tell them about es and ies and when to use them then for practice i will write sentences and will ask them to use es and ies in correct spots. I woll throw 1 or 2 adverbs of frequency and questions forms to see if they really got it

Semi-Controlled Practice (5-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Now the Ss will form sentences on their own using everything they learned today in a group work and i will observe them to see how they doing

Error correction and home work (4-5 minutes) • To review todays lesson and small training for home

In the end i wull write common mistakes and ask Ss themselves to correct it and for home work they will form 2 free sentences and 5 fill the gap sort.
