Description

In this lesson students will be taught how to talk about their daily routine using vocabulary and collecations and they will be informed of how to talk about their free time activities.

Materials

Abc Student's book, teacher's book & the board

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification, review and practice
  • By the end of the lesson students will have been introduced to the vocabulary "every day activities & free time activities" And expanded their use of English by learning how to talk about their daily routines

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency
  • By the end of the lesson students will have been introduced to the vocabulary "every day activities & free time activities" And expanded their use of English by learning how to talk about their daily routines.

Procedure

Lead - in (0-10 minutes) • Generate interest in the topic

The Teacher will start by asking the students "how was your day" & "how was your weekend" . Starting by Eliciting the title .

Present "MFP" (10 minutes) • To teach unknown vocabulary

First comes the meaning T will ask students to do exercises 1a & 1b. T will ask students to check their answers in pairs. T will ask students to answer using the audio 1c and will discuss the meaning. Then comes pronunciation, T will turn on the audio again 1d and ask students to "Listen & repeat "

Practice (10 minutes) • Conceptual & pronunciational checking

T will ask students to write as many words as possible to change the atmosphere of the class . T will ask students to say them out loud.

Production (5-10 minutes) • Ensure that students can accurately use vocabulary

Doing a small speaking exercise and if there is some time left , T will do a game "acting" To see students' progress.
