Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T will set the scene: T will share the screen where Ss will see a doctor's waiting room and people who are sick. T will move on to the next slide and Ss will read the following questions: 1. Where are they? 2. What do you think they are talking about?

Text work (8-8 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Gist: T Will share the screen with the Ss and they will read and answer two questions: What is wrong with Simon and Emily? Are they going to the meeting? then T will procede to put the audio, when the audio is finished Ss will answer the questions (3 min). Intensive: T will share the next activity with Ss: they will have to listen again to the audio and write a letter R for the things that Rachel said and T for the things Tim said (3 min). T will provide the conversation's script for Ss to check their answers and then T and Ss will check them together. (2 min)

Clarification (10-12 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Meaning: T will share the link to the activity. Ss will match the phrase with another that has a similar meaning and then they will decide If the phrases are something that they could tell their boss or a work authority. (3 min) Form: T will share the activity with Ss, they will match the beginning of a phrase with the end of a phrase so they can form a full sentence. (3 min) Pronunciation: T will explain the next activity: they will have to listen to an audio and decide which of the two questions is sympathetic and which is not, then they will listen to another audio and circle which person sound sympathetic A or B. (4 min) After that T will share the sentence stress and the linking words of the sentence.

Controlled Practice (10-12 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

T will share the link for the next activity. Ss will have to put the conversation in the right order (3 min) then we will have OCFB. After that, T will explain the next activity, Ss will see on the screen phrases in disorder and they will have to write them in order (4 min) , after they will do the last activity where they will have to complete the conversation using the phrases from the previos activity. (4 min) they will do the activities individually and then we will have OCFB.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

T will put Ss in pairs and T will give Ss A a sickness or symptom and Ss B will ask questions about it, using phrases from the previous activity they will have 3 min to talk and then T will change pairs and it will be turn for Ss B to have a sickness and for S A to ask said questions. After T and Ss will discuss it together.
