In this lesson students are going to learn about past continues in the context of " an accident " through PPP. after this lesson students might better be able to use past continues sentences to talk about an action in progress at a specific moment in the past. the lesson will be finished with a discussion task about "their specific memory "

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (1-2 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In This stage I will talk about the accident That happened to me yesterday and ask them whether if it was my fault or not ?!

Exposure (1-2 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

In this stage I will ask my students to tell the reason of this accident and they Probably use “past continues “

Highlighting (1-2 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

In this stage I will write some of the sentences that my students have made in the correct form on the board to draw their attention to the TL.

Clarification (9-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

I will clarify the meaning by drawing a timeline on the board and asking some CCQs: (Are the sentences about the past, present, or future? past ? Past .are we talking about actions that are finished or still happening?" (Answer: finished) After that I will elicit the structure from the students to clarify how to form the sentences. And I will also emphasize about not pronouncing the letters g in ing words.

Controlled Practice (1-2 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

The students are going to answer the task individually Student’s book_page 129_ Grammer bank 2B And then I will chech with the whole class.

Free Practice (1-2 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

I will ask my students to say an interesting story that happend in their life
