  • To provide scan and gist reading practice using a text about different questions were asked by different people

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T starts by a smile and asks Ss, " how was your break ? Then T sticks sticky notes on the board and asks , "what are these ? T elicits the word "note" ask ccqs : Can we write questions and answers in it ? D we have it in our phones ?

Exposure (5-7 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

T elicits the word notes board and ask ccqs for examples : can anyone post a note ? Can you replay to each other ? T set the context and ask Ss to read the Q first, read the notes and answer them. Give instructions alone read Q 4 mins Ss read , answer and check in pairs T asks Ss to read Laurance answers and undeline answers T elicit difficult words if found

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

T asks Ss to do ex 2 check in pairs T elicit the usage of and , but , because , so T write 4 sentence on the board and ask Ss to choose the correct answer T ccq the use for linking words for example: we use and for addition or reason ? we use but for reason or contrast ? we use so for consequences or reason ? we use because for addition or reason ? T asks Ss to do ex 4 in pairs check in group

Productive Task(s) (5-10 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

T asks Ss to replay either for Jan or Chris notice Give clear instrcutcions 1- in a piece of paper 2-choose between Chris and Jan 3- alone 4- plan your own answers Ask Icqs alone or in pairs ? alone write or speak ? write how many people will answer ? one (chris or Jan )

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

T collects Ss work, and writes the errors on the board, then asks Ss to correct the mistakes in public
