Main Aims

  • Students will be able to know the kinds of the adjectives - they relate to the noun not the verb

  • students will have to practice by solving more exercises by themselves

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Teacher asks students to describe each picture which appears in front of them on the board. Instructions: individually (describe these pictures using the colors the shape or the size . ICCQ: Are you goanna describe these pictures? Are you goanna do it in pairs? How long it will take? Feedback: Open class discussion

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Teacher writes on the board the answers of the students. Teacher circles all the words which tell about the colors or size or shape and underline the words which describe. Draw a box and ask them to qualify each word describe the nouns works in groups ICCQ; Will you write or read? Will you work alone or pairs? How long will you have to finish?

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Now the teacher will inform them that these words which describe the nouns we call the adjectives Let them know the song for this lesson and repeat it

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Teacher will explain by giving many examples on the board and get the student involve with her by asking them and try to help them Teacher -Ss

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

In this stage the Ss will be able to do a practice exercise by themself the teacher her rule only to observe individually ICCQS: will you underline the adjectives or the nouns? Will you or alone or alone?

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Teachers be able to correct the answers by telling them and show them the model answers for the exercises and ask them to check their answers. Check their answers and their mistakes in groups.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Teacher will be able to give the Ss a free practice to make sure that the kids understand the concept of the lesson well. work in groups ICCQS: Will you work alone or in pairs? Will you have to write the adjectives or the nouns? How long should you have to finish?
