Description

In this lesson the learners are going to learn how to write a biography about a famous person that they have known. I will teach them the correct tens that they allow to use them in their writing.

Materials

Main Aims

  • To provide process writing practice of a biography in the context of a famous person

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide reading practice using a text about a biography of Elon Musk in the context of a famous person

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will ask the students about a famous person ( Elon Musk) where was he born? where is he from? where is he live? and I try to give them about Elon Musk's biography.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading

I will present them my reading sample about Elon Musk's biography that I've printed before to teach them how can we write an essay and I will tell them about the tenses that we have to use them. then I want them to open their book on page 116 part 6.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

In this stage we will analysis the text that exist in the book and we will work on new vocabularies if they didn't know the meaning. then I will focus on layout and language, about the how many paragraphs they should write in their essay. I will focus the role of on each paragraph. I will teach them that they should use these tenses: simple past - present perfect- present continuous.

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

They are going to write an essay about a biography of a famous person that they've known well, They should write it like model text.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

I will check their writing for mistakes (grammar, punctuation and spelling) and show the essay to other students and tell them how to check their essay you should check your classmates' biographies.
