Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (7-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The students will be asked if they have ever experienced about being stuck in somewhere for example in the lift. I will ask them has it happened to you? how did you feel? Are you a claustrophobic person or not?

Pre-Listening (6-8 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

The students will be informed about the meaning of the following vocabularies used in the text by presenting on the power point that I've made it before for the whole class.

While-Listening #1 (6-10 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The students will listen to track and try to answer the following questions: what was Steve's plan to do? was he successful? then the students will try to answer gist question after listening part.

While-Listening #2 (13-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

Students will be asked to read the questions on page 32 part B and then the audio file will be played again. The students need to answer the questions . They will have 2 minutes to check their answers in pairs then we will check the answers with the whole class.

Post-Reading/Listening (13-16 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

Students will be asked to talk to each other in groups of 3 or 4 about this question: Have you(or has anyone you know) ever had a similar experience? what happened? on page 32 part C
