Procedure (35-49 minutes)
I will start the class by talking about what I was doing yesterday.
I will ask my students to talk about what they they were doing the day before the class.
I will write some of the sentences made by students in their correct forms to draw their attention to the correct form of the TL.
I will clarify the meaning by using a timeline on the board and comparing it with present continuous so that they would understand the similarities between the two and know when to use it. I will also use some of their sentences to teach the correct form. They will be asked to help me write the structure on the board by answering some CCQs about the roles of the words.
The students are going to do exercise 2B on page 128 of the students' book individually in 5 minutes. They will check their answers in pairs in 2 minutes and then we will check the answers with the whole class.
I will ask my students to tell the class what they were doing before the class.
I will ask my students to talk about what they were doing on this Tuesday in groups of three. They will try to give as much details as they can. I will monitor them and then feedback will be given at the end.
