Description

In this lesson, the learners are going to learn "(be going to)' future tense(S+be going to+Vbase......./Be+S+going to+Vbase? ). After they get some knowledge about what they will learn through warmer and listening text,they will find a similarity between the first sentence implemented in lead in and the sentences they listened and filled in the blanks. Later on, MFP is going to take place as the students are trying to understand why they use 'be going to' ; they will be given the form by eliciting the structure. After that, the students are going to be given controlled practice activities e.g. transformation drills .Then, as a semi controlled practice, first they will complete the questions in a form of a game then will ask and answer the question about their future plans. In order to practice speaking using the target grammar, they will be given a situation and sets of questions and let them speak fluently.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T writes 'CHANGES' on the board. -T asks some questions 'Do you like traveling?', how do you like to travel ?where do plan to travel to this summer ? - After T elicits the answers ,warmer activity finishes.

Exposure (3-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

T gives instructions for the listening activity by connecting with the previous warmer. T projects a photo on the board ask some questions about it as pre listening activity eliciting answers related to the photo .the listening section is adapted from (English file pre- intermediate ) T asks ss to write T or F while listening. T lets them check the answers in pairs and passes the answer key.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

After the listening practice, sentences that are taken from the listening script students complete them and decide if the sentences are plans or prediction. -Then T elicits the time and meaning of the sentences by asking CCQs. -Then T elicits the from of the structures and uses CCQ. -T gives the main stressed main vocabulary,pronunciation and intonation through back chain drilling. T shows the question form on the board and do MFP.

Controlled Practice (8-15 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Teacher gives instructions for the activity which is a game keep or give . class is divided in 2 group and then they try to complete the sentences .After they have to choose whether to keep the box or give it to the other group . it is a very exciting and engaging game . - Teacher models one of the question with one of the students - after the game , students ask and answer the questions - teacher gets feedback

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

-students sit in groups of 3 . -they should decide how they are going to organize a visit to their city for the people who have stopover at their nearest airport -.After they share their ideas and the students vote for the best one .
