Procedure (32-48 minutes)
Teacher writes the word FOOD on the the board and will introduce the topic to ss with some questions like what is their favorite food and is that food good for them or not.Then will pre teach the words that think that they don't know like aubergine,cauliflower,garlic,lettuce and sardines.By showing them pictures and describing the meaning and drilling and then writes them on the board.
Teacher will give them some slips and photos and tells them that they should should match each food to the appropriate picture,they have a time limit for this.Then they will check their answers in pairs
Now that ss know all the words,They will be told that look at the picture and see which fruits or vegetables in the list are missing in the picture,They will do it in pairs.Then will check with WC
Ss will be given time to place the items in the correct position individually.Teacher will do a modeling first write it on the board then will ask them to do it themselves.They will check their answers in pairs then
Ss will be asked to write down which items they always buy and which they never buy.then will mingle and ask their friends opinion
I will show them some photos related to each phrase and try to elicit some information from ss and then ill present each of them and will write it on the board.
Ss will listen to the tape and choose the alternatives for each idioms.then will check it in pairs
SS are supposed to find the synonyms for the underlined words in the conversations with their new pairs
