Subsidiary Aims
-
To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of Everyday life
Procedure (31-47 minutes)
I will start the class by talking about what should people do in their everyday life by making some examples in a sentence and ask them if they agree or disagree.
I ask my students what should they do in their lives to make it better or to be a better person in society.
I will write some of my students' sentences on the board in the correct form to draw their attention to the correct format of the TL
I will clarify the meaning of the TL by teaching them with examples and pointing out directly to what it means which is giving suggestion and advice. the form will be covered by eliciting the format from the students. they will help me write the structure on the board by answering some CQs about the role of the words and the way we use them in a correct form of the sentence. the pronunciation of should and shouldn't with "you" after it will be focused. for example : should you /dʒ/ or shouldn't you /tʃ/ and silent L in should.
The students are going to do exercise 8A on page 141 of the students book individually in 5 minutes. they will check their answers in pairs in two minutes and then we will check the answers with the whole class.
I will ask my students to tell about some should and shouldn't in everyday life
I will ask my student to talk about someone and target them and say what do they think those targeted people should or should not do! or target the society or anyone else in groups of four.
