in this lesson the students are going to learn how to use simple present in their daily conversation.

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification of present simple in the context of health

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide practice of hospital words in the context of health
  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of health

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will start the class by talking about my flu and sort throat that i got last week. I try to aware them of the importance of health and make them grateful for their health.

Exposure (3-5 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

i will ask my student some question to make a small conversation.

Highlighting (2-5 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

i will write some of my students' sentences in the correct form to draw their attention to the correct format of the TL.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

I will draw a timeline on the board to help my student understand the TL which is simple present. the form will be clarified by eliciting the format from students. they will help me write the structure on the board by answering some CCQ about the roll of the words and the wav we have changed the verbs .especially the form of verbs for third person like(go - goes).

Controlled Practice (10-12 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

the students are going to do the exercise A on the page 50 individually in10 minutes

Semi-Controlled Practice (4-5 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

i will ask my students to tell the class what do they do everyday.

Free Practice (6-8 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

i will ask my student to tell her daily routine my TL is to use the simple present.
