Main Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of Music

Subsidiary Aims

To provide practice of present continuous and present simple in the context of celebrities

Procedure (35-45 minutes)

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Students will listen to three different types of songs on the speaker and try to guess which genre are they. after that they will ask each other about their favorite genre.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Students will read a text about music individually and then will discuss the passage in pairs using questions provided in the book

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

By the help of the text they read, new vocab will be extracted from the text and elicited by examples and gestures.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

I will write four questions on the board that's related to the lesson's subject and let them discuss the questions in groups.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Students will talk about their favorite kind of music using the useful language and the grammar given
