Main Aims

  • To provide detailed reading practice using a text about Inventions in the context of Important Inventions in the 1920s

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a Converstation in the context of Inventions

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Teacher will ask learner to answer two questions to get him/her engage to topic. (Can you think of famous inventions? How did they change the way we live?) have the learner to elaborate his/her answer.

Reading (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

Ss will read for gist about the three most important inventions T-S will go over any word or expression that the learner might not understand by using the context of the reading follow by asking some comprehension questions about the reading.

While-Reading (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

Give a small review of how we use passive voice slide 19 then have the learner to identify the grammar in the reading. follow by answering the true or face questions in the link.

Post-Reading (7-8 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading and speakingtasks

Using the informations of the reading about inventions in the 1920s now ss will discuss of about modern inventions and how have they influence and made changes in the actual world.

Feedback (2-4 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

give the learner feedback about her speaking and give some tips also give homework
