Description

In this lesson, learners will lean different terms used to describe different relationship types as well as verbs, verb phrases, and phrasal verbs used to talk about different stages or events that occur in relationships. student will also be able to use the vocabulary in speaking activities.

Main Aims

  • To provide accuracy and fluency speaking practice in a Conversation in the context of Relationships

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide practice and clarification of Relationship in the context of Friendship

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Students will answer 3 questions about their best friend.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

Students will read the different definitions of vocabulary students will try to give an example for each.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

ss will read about relationships where the vocabulary of verbs, phrases and phrasal verbs. Teacher will ask some comprehension questions about the reading.

Productive Task(s) (12-15 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Now that ss have the vocabulary they will use it to produce in a freer activity.

Feedback and Error Correction (4-6 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

Students will answer a more controlled activity where they will choose the correct option for each gap. And clarify ss doubts
