Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students with language

In this warmup activity the ss will discuss about movies genre. ss will open their books to page 15 follow their attention to activity 1 ( if ss dont have the book teacher will always have PPP presenting for them.) What's their favorite film? which do they prefer? do they enjor old movies if so which ones and why?

Exposure (6-8 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

PPP slide 16 & students book pg. 15 Teacher will guide the students through so the students can get familiar with the context about the first old film. T will elicit possible answer about what they think the movie was about based on the pictures. ss will make a guest of exercise 2

Highlighting (13-15 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Go over the meaning of the simple past by eliciting information from the ss. - When do you use the simple past? - What are the rules of the verbs in past? regular and irregular Explain the form of simple past. By showing ss structure of affirmative, negative and questions. with a conversation. Pracitice: ss will practice on activity on the cutting Edge students' book pg. 15 fill in the gaps with the verbs in past -

Clarification (5-6 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Teacher with clarify the usage and pronunciation of the vocabulary "time expressions" in the past and how to use them. This will followed by students answering some questions

Controlled Practice (6-8 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

T-S will review the expressions and then ss will answer the activity on their own.

Free Practice (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Ss will practice with a partner asking each other information questions about when they last did___? Teacher will take notes and observe.
