Main Aims

• By the end of the lesson students will have practiced their listening skills such as listening for gist and listening for detail, using a text about Snow in London in the context of traffick jams.
Subsidiary Aims

• To develop speaking fluency related to the vocabulary

• To develop students' vocabulary knowledge such as nouns and adjectives
Procedure (47-38 minutes)
T will start class greeting the ss. After doing so, T will display a collage made out of images relating to search engines, she will ask ss to predict what the class will be about and elicit their answers in OC.
T will then cover the 4 words she chose so ss can understand the text better. words: - Trip - Journey - Normal day - Traffic jam T will use a presentation to clarify meaning (MFP) with students.
Ss will do excersise 4a from the workbook individually in which they have write down the correct answer and complete the table. After the listening, T will check their answers and give them OCFB .
Ss will do excercise 4b from the book individually in which they have to write down the correct answer of the questions on a google form while listening to the audio. Ss will check their answers in BRs (4 minutes) before checking answers in OCFB.
Ss will talk about the traffic situation in their own countries to another s (most likely from another country) in BR's. (7 mins) T will send ss a promt card in which they will have some expressions to tell their partner about the traffic situation where they live. ( 1-2 mins. for instructions) T will do OCFB with Delayed Error Correction (DEC) after T asks Ss to share in OC information about their partners' country. (5 minutes)
