Procedure (24-35 minutes)
I start a discussion with the ss about what they do everyday ( daily routine) by asking them different questions about their day.
First, I attract the ss attention and interest by choosing two videos from the students' videos that related to our topic and show them in the class. Second, I show them the story of the unit. Finally, I ask them questions about the story elements and the story content. In this part, I focus on the characters' daily routine and to make it funny, the ss use cards to answer the questions instead of speaking.
I pick a phrase from the story, write it with singular and plural subjects, then I start eliciting the target language from the ss. Does the verb look the same or different in these phrases? different How are they different? There is "s" Why do you think there are S's in these verbs? ..... What is the difference between the pronouns in each group? one - many / singular and plural.
In this stage, the ss help me to show their classmates a play to clarify the lesson. One boy play the role of magic "s" and how it can change the nouns and the verbs from singular to plural and the opposite. Some ss play the role of the subject pronouns and the negative form 'doesn't'.
The ss answer a question on the board to check their understanding. I ask them individually to correct the mistake in each sentence ,but I don't revel the correct answer till I ask some ss to tell me if they agree with their classmate or not.
I will move to make a quick phonics revision on the board, then we start a play -Super e- which teach the ss how the vowel sound change when letter 'e' comes at the end of a word.
I start back to back activity. It is a reading competition. The student who read the word faster, is the winner.
