(ss say in pairs) - How many mins do you have? (ss say 3) - After they finish... Ask each pair what they have in common. - So, can you guess our topic for today? - Yes it’s about shops - We will read more about shops - But first let’s check some words together. (PTV): 1) Department store - Look at this photo - Do you know what we call this kind of shops (Eliciting) - yes, It’s a department store - So, the department store. Is it small or large? (ss say large) - Does it have only one floor or many floors? (ss say many floors) - Do you find there one type of shop, or can you find restaurants and other shops? (ss: restaurant and other shops) - Drilling quickly - Writing the form 2) Impressive - Now look at this building - Is it small and usual? (ss: No) - So, do you know how to describe a building like that? (Eliciting) - It's an impressive building - So, when I say it’s an impressive building - Is it a small building or large one? (ss say large) - Is it a usual building or special one? (ss say special) - Will people like to see a building like this? (ss say yes) - So, is it attractive? (ss: many stores) - Drilling - Write the sentence (without writing the form) - Then CCQs using some photos - (Show ss some photos and ask them to compare between people) - Show the first photo (about 3 boys) - T: so, if I want to compare between them using the adj (young) - what will I say? - Ss: May is the youngest boy - T: what about comparing using the adj (Tall) - Ss: Bin is the tallest - Show ss another photo (about 3 old men) - T: what about this one? (ss say: 2) - So, I say the famousest or the most famous? (ss: the most famous) - T: So, any questions till now?? - Okay now look at the word (big) here - T points at the first sentence (at the word big) - T: here big is a short adj right? (ss: yes) - So, we added est. But what did we change here? (ss: say double g) - T: Do you know why? (Eliciting) - T: because its 3 letters.. Constant, vowel, constant. - So, when we have a word of 3 letters and they are constant vowel constant. - We do what? (ss: double the last letter) - And then we add the?
