Procedure (30-60 minutes)
I will start off the lesson student focused by immediately instructing them to look at strip of paper (HO 1) and tell which facts are continuous based off of the instructions on the paper. The purpose of this is to reinforce the previous lessons and to start the lesson off student focused. It also reduces my talk time. I will perform peer checks and make sure ICQ.
I will recap stative and dynamic that Ceyda introduced yesterday while introducing present perfect and present perfect continuous before giving them the second strip of paper (HO 2) that compliments HO 1. I will draw on the WB a timeline that uses present perfect and present perfect continuous with since and for. I will also do a vs comparison between stative and dynamic verbs.
I will have the students work on HO 3 in groups and then go over it with them. HO 3 gives them a controlled task on how for and since are used. The purpose is to reinforce the grammar and have them say it out loud.
I will have the students mingle with each other while creating their own sentences and questions with the grammar. I will have them walk around with images for the topics to discuss. The goal is to get them speaking and reinforcing.
