Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Present the video of Vocabulary of professions in English to the students and ask questions at the end. What professions did you observe? Which one caught your attention the most? And which do you think is riskier? And what is the profession that is not dangerous?

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Mention as a group the professions that were shown in the video and make a list on the board. Ask students to write the list in their English notebook and draw a drawing of each one.

Productive Task(s) (10-15 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Give the students a word search of professions, to do individually. Request to use a different color for each profession. Hand out a worksheet, read and follow the instructions. Follow the example shown: He`s a waiter. He works in a restaurant. Ask what do you think he means? Continue answering the other statements.

Feedback and Error Correction (5-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

Review the work and require that I mentioned without seeing the sheet, a statement.

Exposure (20-30 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

Give the students a white sheet of paper and ask them to make two drawings of objects used in the profession they like the most. They must color and cut out. On a sheet of your notebook, make the statement: what they are and where they work, as shown in the worksheet above. At the end, go on to present your work one by one, show the objects you drew and mention the statements.
