Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T reviews Daily and weekly routines with Ss. T tell Ss that he is very happy today , his sister has a new baby. T tells the Ss that it is a special day for him. T elicits some of their Special days Then asks Ss to work in pairs to speak about a special days in their lives . Ss speak about each other's special days

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

T focuses Ss attention to the photos of the five cards of "Special Days" . T gives Sst the HO .T asks Ss to match the cards with to the phrases and the , then Check in pairs. T checks instructions are going to match ? Ss say yes . T gets Ss to match the Special Days with the Special Days cards on the WB. Ss listen and check their answers.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

T uses the phrases of Special Days on the WB and drill them solo and chorally

Lead in • Review Months of the year

Ss work on Ex 1 in the WB in solo and the check in pairs. Ss listen and check their answers.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

T writes the day and the date on the board T elicits Ss to get the difference .; T gets Ss to answer Ex5 in solo , then Ss check in pairs, Ss check answer key

Controlled Practice (3-5 minutes) • Help Ss to understand questions about dates ,

T gives Ss a minute to go through the HO ICQ T checks instructions are we going t o write first or listen ? Ss listen and fill in the gaps T checks answers in WC

Controlled Practice (2-3 minutes) • Help Ss to identify different forms of the date
