Procedure

"Journey into the Unknown" (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Introduction (3-5 minutes) Objective of the Introduction: To arouse students' interest and contextualize the topic of legends. Activity: "Journey into the Unknown". Begin with a brief story involving mysterious and magical elements. Pose reflective questions about the unknown and awaken students' curiosity.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Presentation (8-10 minutes) Exposition Objective: To present the key elements of the legends and provide illustrative examples. Multimedia Presentation: Highlight elements such as setting, characters, plot, and message/morale. Use examples from well-known legends to illustrate each component. Guided Discussion: Facilitate a discussion of common characteristics of legends. Highlight the importance of emotional connection and the transmission of values.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Reflect on the class and highlight the importance of creativity in writing legends.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Facilitate a brief discussion on the challenges faced and experiences shared. Highlight the originality and diversity of the legends created by the students.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) Objective of the Controlled Practice: Apply concepts learned in guided exercises. Analysis Activity: Provide fragments of legends to analyze in small groups. Guide discussion on how these excerpts incorporate the elements learned.

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Semi-controlled Practice (8-10 minutes). Objective of Semi-controlled Practice: To allow students to independently apply concepts learned with some guidance. Sketch Creation: Ask students to develop sketches of their own captions. Provide guidance and feedback as they advance their ideas.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) Objective of the Free Practice: To give total freedom for individual creation of captions. Creative Writing: To allow students to develop their captions in their entirety. Encourage individual expression and unrestricted creativity.
