Procedure (28-38 minutes)
I will ask my Ss if they would like to visit New York City for free. What places would you visit or maybe re-visit?
I will ask my Ss to read the text and tell me what it is about. I want them to identify the main idea and the context of the conversation. What is the topic about? Who is talking? What is the relation between the two speakers? What city are they planning to visit?
I will ask Ss to underline all examples of the TL (going to and will) in the text
MEANING I will ask some CCQ for Ss to identify Meaning. 1. I am going to explore the city next month. When is the action taking place? Is the action completed? is he talking about planned future events? FORM I will ask my Ss to identify the different components in the structure.
