Hello guys how are you doing today? Are you guys ok? Are u energetic? u don't look like (an) energetic person but I hope you get more energetic as we go on with our session. ( you can use sentences with different form of verbs but it might confuse the Sts so I use present simple for most of my sentences) So guys random question : I say an energetic person and not a energetic person. anyone know why? we have some vowel letters in English which we call حروف صدا دار in Farsi. there are five of them : a-e-i-o-u. when one of these letters come at the beginning of our words we use an. *I elaborate these more as I go through the class* So this is *my* class with you guys and I'm *your* teacher. *I write the words my & your on the whiteboard* this is (my) watch, my jeans, your hoodie & .... *I play with possessive adjectives a bit to get them familiar with the pronouns and possessive forms of them* then I try using to be verbs by saying stuff like : your parents (are) kind, (they) love you, right? you love (your) friends. And I get them ready for learning To be verbs and possessive adjectives

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I highlight my main aims which were to be verbs and possessive adjectives by writing them on whiteboard and showing the Sts that they're important. They get to see them on their SB books afterwards

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I teach them the pronouns and to be verbs on the whiteboard and I get help from the Sts themselves and then we proceed to cover the HOs which are from the Headway Beginner student book and we try to check them as we go further.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

As we continue our lessons and we check the HW-SB book together we get to new vocabulary and I clarify the meaning by drawing a picture on whiteboard if needed and I pronounce everything the correct way myself and ask them to repeat them & sometimes and ask them to pronounce the words and if they get it wrong, I'll tell them to think and say the word again.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Gladly the Headway SB books have perfect drills for students which I monitor them and help them if needed and I try to control some of it

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

I give them some activities to do together or even some speaking and role-playing, which the Headway book has it under the control too. I let them to help each other to solve some of the exercises if needed.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

I'll make the Sts speak more and use the new grammar and vocabs.
