Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

-T says : Now we will watch a video and try to guess the topic for today. -T plays the video. -T asks the SS what is the topic for today. -SS reply (Countries). -T says (Great job, right our topic for today is about countries and nationalities)

Test #1 (4-6 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

-T asks the students to match the words in the box with the words below. -T gives instructions : -You'll do it alone. -you have 3 mins. -Don't worry if you don't know any. -T asks ICQS : 1-How many minutes do you have? 2-Are you going to do it with your friend or alone? -T pairs them to check with the partner and they have 1 min. -T checks as a group and (on the screen)

Teach (10-15 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

-T shows them a picture of each countries' flag and elicits from them the name of this country. -T asks after each picture (How can we call someone from England?) For example. -T shows them a picture of someone from this country. -T asks CCQS : 1-So, now I'm from England, am I England or British? 2-So, now I'm from japan, am I Japan or Japanese? and so on. -T drills. -T writes the word on the board and highlights the stress of each word.

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

-T says (Now, It's the time for our game). -T shares a link on the WhatsApp group for the game link. -It's a game from the website Quizizz, containing the Q from test 2 in the book but this game is more interactive and fun. -Who will get the highest points will win.

Free practice (7-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

-T gives the HO's to the students. (A's and B's Q) -T gives instructions : 1-A choose B but not the one next to you. 2-Discuss these Q together and try to remember 3 things about your partner and write them. -T asks ICQS : -How many things are you going to remember about your partner?
