The T asks Ss to talk in pairs about the last clothing item they bought and why they bought it. ICQs: will you talk about all the clothes you have? will you tell the whole class? The T asks the Ss to report their answers to the class.
The T asks the Ss to look at the two pictures in the book (activity1, page79) and asks these questions: what do you see? what are the pictures taken from? what color are they? The T gives the Ss a minute to look at the two pictures to decide which one they like more. The T then asks them to share their preferences with their pair.
The T highlights that there are two jackets A and B and then asks the Ss: How many words are there(activity2, page79)? Four. then the T asks them to look at the two pictures and decide in pairs which words fit A and B. ICQs: will you write questions? Will you tick the word? Will do it alone? After that check the answers with the class.
The T asks the Ss which one will you buy if you want a new jacket? why? The T highlights the use of the adjective and why we added er. CCQs: Are they the same? Are both new? Did we compare between them? Drilling: 2 or 3 times then the T writes the form on the board. The T asks the Ss to look at the pictures and asks the Ss to compare between the two suits and guess which one they will pay money for. The T highlights the use of the adjective and why we added more. CCQs: which one requires more money? which one a millionaire can buy? Drilling: 2 or 3 times then the T writes the form on the board. The T directs the Ss to the pictures and asks them to compare to elicit "worse"and "bad". CCQs: Are they both good? Are the both clean? Drilling: 2 or 3 times then the T writes the form on the board.
Controlled practice: The T guides the Ss to practice 1, page 154. T ask Ss to answer the exercise alone first and then together in pairs. Less controlled: T asks the Ss to make sentences about the clothing items in the book (practice1, page79) ICQs: will you make the sentences alone? will you make sentences about anything? Freer practice: (Role plays in pairs) about the clothing last item they bought and the Ss should compare between the two items. ICQs: will you only talk to one person? will you talk about more than one item? will you compare between yours and your partner's?
