in this lesson students are going to learn past cont. tense. they are going to understand how to use it, what is the usage of it, and how to speak in this target language.

To provide clarification of past continuous tense. in the context of scary stories
Subsidiary Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of yesterday someone got killed, tell me a 3 sentence story.
Procedure (17-26 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (2-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
i will tell students a story using past continuous tense. and ask them to guess the ending.
Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language
I will ask students to do some exercises and then clarify their mistakes but not too directly.
Clarification (5-8 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language
in this stage I will teach the grammar, structure and usage. i will draw a timeline and write examples.
Controlled Practice (4-5 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice
worksheets.
Free Practice (4-5 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
it will be a speaking.
